Setting Up Your Humidifier
Step 3
1.
Remove packaging material. Keep this Instruction Manual for reference.
2.
Remove twist tie and extend power cord.
3.
Place the humidifier on a firm, level, water resistant surface at least 12" (30 cm) from any
walls. DO NOT place on surfaces that can be damaged by water.
Prepare Wicking Filter
A Wicking Filter is required for this unit to operate.
The Wicking Filter will capture minerals from your water and will prevent "white dust." If you have
hard water, you will need to replace your filter more frequently. See "Filter Care" section for tips on
prolonging the life of your Wicking Filter.
It is recommended that you use authentic Protec PWF2 Replacement Filters. This filter is designed to
work with your humidifier and is antimicrobially treated and helps prevent the growth and migration
of mold, algae and bacteria on the filter.
