1 Safety instructions
Please read the safety instructions carefully before use, and observe the safety instructions to
prevent damage due to misuse, improper operation, and unsuitable environmental conditions.
Keep this instruction booklet for later reference.
Check the device for damage after removing the packaging. Do not use the unit if you suspect
it has been damaged, and consult a specialist. The recyclable packaging material must not be
stored or disposed of where it can be accessed by young children, but must be disposed of
properly.
This appliance must only be used for the purpose for which it was explicitly developed. Any
other use is regarded as improper and therefore dangerous. The supplier is not liable for damage
to persons and/or property resulting from improper or incorrect use.
Repairs to electrical appliances must only be carried out by trained personnel. Improperly per-
formed repairs and alterations to the equipment can have dangerous consequences for the user,
and the warranty will be void in such cases.
• To avoid electrical hazards, do not immerse the cord or plug in water or other liquids.
• Make sure your mains voltage corresponds to that specified on the appliance before plug-
ging in. The appliance must be connected to an earthed mains safety socket.
• Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use. Keep out of reach of children or in-
competent persons.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance mal-
functions or has been damaged in any way. Return the appliance to the nearest authorised
service agent for examination, repair or adjustment.
• Do not use the appliance with a damaged socket outlet.
• Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.
• Make sure the cord never comes into contact with the hot parts of the appliance.
• The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• Only use the machine for its intended household use and in the way indicated in these
instructions.
• Never use accessories which are not recommended by the producer. They could constitute a
danger to the user and risk damage to the appliance.
