Place 4x AAA batteries in the position indicated in the battery compartment. When
finished, put the battery panel back in place.
► During operation, if the display shows "LO-2" it means that the base batteries are low
and need to be replaced.
3.3 Turn on/off the scale
With the base lying on a flat, level surface, simply lift the display up to the ready position
(about 110°).
The scale will automatically sound a signal tone and the display will light up to indicate that
the device is on. Once zeros appear on the display the scale is ready for use.
To turn off the scale, simply lower the display back to the flat, storage position.
3.4 Auto-Shutoff Feature
do not force it past the ready position as it can damage the frame.
► Always operate the scale on a flat, stable, level surface.
► Always close the scale and lay it flat for storage when not in use.
3.5 To weigh items in standard weigh mode

Please note
If left in the ready position for more than approx. 3 minutes
and 30 seconds, the scale will automatically shut off to
conserve battery life. To turn the device back on while in the
ready position, press approx. 2 seconds on the weighing
platform until the signal tone sounds and the display lights up.
► When raising the display to the ready position (about 110°),
ATTENTION
1. Make sure the scale is in the ready position
and the display is lit.
2. Press the "g/lb" button on the display
repeatedly to cycle through weights in
grams, pounds or ounces.
