2 Safety
This chapter provides the user with important safety guidelines to follow when setting up
and operating the appliance. This product complies with the required safety regulations.
Improper use can result in personal injury or property damages.

2.1 Intended use

This appliance is only intended for weighing small items indoors or in sheltered, enclosed
spaces.

► Failure to operate this appliance only as intended can be dangerous.
► Use the device exclusively for its intended use

Claims of any type for damages resulting from use other than for intended purpose are
excluded.
The sole risk shall be borne by the operator.

2.2 Safety information

► Never drop or strike the scale as it can easily damage the unit.
► Never place hot items directly on the weighing platform.
► Never use or store the scale in excessively hot or moist conditions.
► Do not store the scale in an upright position.
► Do not use this scale for legal trade.
► Do not store heavy items on top of the scale.
► When raising the display to the ready position (about 110°), do not force it past the
ready position as it can damage the frame.
► Examine the appliance for any visible external damage prior to use. Do not use the
appliance if it appears damaged.
► Only qualified electricians trained by the manufacturer may carry out any repairs on the
unit.
