GENERaL INFORmaTION

User manual for
EXOS S, EXOS M, EXOS L, EXOS XL
EXOS is a high performance wing with excellent glide and a very efficient
speed system and is positioned towards the top of the EN C category.
EXOS is suitable only for pilots who are familiar with recovery techniques,
pilots who fly frequently & actively and also understand the implications of
flying a glider with higher top speeds and moderate dynamic behavior.
 This user manual version dated 11. December 2016.
 EXOS has a moderate level of passive safety.
 EXOS has been certified in Category C, having met all the requirements
of regulation EN 926-2/2013 and LTF NFL II 91/09.
 Total minimum and maximum weights in flight: see the technical data.
 Maximum brake range at maximum take-off load: according to EN 926-2
/2013.
 Please note that any changes to the paraglider will invalidate the result
of the certification. Correct usage of the glider is the pilot's responsibility.
All liability is excluded by the manufacturer and the distributor. The pilot
is responsible for the airworthiness of the aircraft. The pilot must comply
with legal regulations.
Operating limits
EXOS is a very strong paraglider and flying all the usual SIV manoeuvres
will not normally pose a structural problem. However, frequent extreme
manoevers training can accelerate the ageing process dramatically, and Sky
recommends having wings that are often used for SIV-type manoeuvres
subjected to checkups at shorter intervals than normally stipulated.
Biplace and PPG
EXOS is for solo pilot use only. EXOS is not built for powered paragliding
(PPG).

Purpose
According to LTF 91/09 EXOS is an air sport vehicle (class paraglider)
with an empty weight of less than 120 kg.
Correct behaviour in relation to the environment
Paragliding is a particularly nature friendly sport. This makes it all the
more important that we as paraglider pilots behave in a responsible way
towards both the environment and the people sharing it with us. We
encourage you to treat nature with respect, to stay on marked hiking
trails when walking to takeoff or hiking out from an XC landing, to avoid
unnecessary noise, to never litter and to observe all local regulations.
Please also make sure to comply with legislation regarding protected
areas, privately owned property or hunting areas – this ensures the least
possible friction in relation to other users of the great outdoors, to the
benefit of both yourself and the sport as a whole.
 This guide conforms to requirements specified by Regulation EN 926-2
/2013 as well as LTF 91/09 for manuals.

PILOT'S PROFILE

EXOS is certified to EN B and sits at the upper limit of this class and is
not suitable for basic training or as a first wing. It is aimed at pilots who
perform long cross country flights and who have experience and regular
practice (min. 50 hours thermic flights plus 30 hours / year).
EXOS includes all our very latest innovative details and features that
combine and add up to make real class leading and cutting edge
differences that performance minded pilots desire.
EXOS is for pilots who fly frequently and that have the skill level to match
the high performance of this wing.
We seriously believe that true performance comes from the right match
of pilot and wing.
In the right hands, this wing will produce an incredible in flight experience
and many km's of rewarding cross-country distance whilst leading the
pack.
Importantly, EXOS retains the sublime handling that our Sky gliders have
become well known for, whilst using only technologies and design that
add genuine advancements to the in-flight experience for the pilot.
EXOS´s design still manages to offer the pilot an extremely good ratio of
performance to safety at the top end of the EN B category.
