The sort channel is clogged
The valve is moving but cells are not moving down the sort channel. This can occur if an air bubble (
5.4 , A) or debris ( Figure 5.4 , B) clogs the sort channel.

Do one or all of the following:
Use the priming fixture to wet the channel (refer to the cartidge data sheet).

Clean up the sample (e.g. filtration, density gradient, dead cell removal).

Use a new cartridge.

The input filter is clogged
Sort and event rate decrease immediately during sort run, but transit time of cells is correct. This can occur if:
The sample contains high amount of debris or cell clusters. Clean up the sample (filtration, density gradient,
l
dead cell removal).
Deactivated or non-functional mixer (sedimentation of cells). Check the mixer. Use a new cartridge if necessary.
