4. STIRRUP STRAP & LANYARD
The individual user is responsible for adjusting the length of the stirrup straps and installing
them on the saddle, as well as hooking the carabiner to the saddle every time he mounts his
horse.
I. Stirrup Strap attachement
Remove both stirrups leathers from your saddle.
Standing at the pommel of your saddle, slide
one end of the Stirrup Strap over the stirrup
bar. Repeat the process with the other end of
the Stirrup Strap on the opposite side. You may
need to loosen the straps to reach the other
stirrup bar at this point. Now adjust the strap
evenly on both sides so that the fastening ring sits
at the centre of the pommel.
The strap should be short enough to not reach
behind the pommel but loose enough to lie
flat on the horse's withers. Replace your stirrup
leathers ensuring they are secure. Now you are
ready to hook your lanyard to the saddle.
II. Attaching the Lanyard to the Stirrup Strap
The lanyard has a carabiner at the end, which
is simply hooked onto the central ring of your
Stirrup Strap. We can customize the lenght of your
lanyard if needed, please contact us in this case.
CAUTION
• Make sure that the lanyard cannot wrap itself round any part of the saddle when riding.
• Check that the fixing point is sturdy enough (with resistance to over 35kg).
