Inspections prior to starting

Figure 5
1.
Inlet
Prior to starting, check that:
The filters are installed;
All latches are tightly locked;
The vacuum hose and tools have been correctly fitted
into the inlet (1);
The bag or safety container is installed, if applicable.
Do not use the vacuum cleaner if the filter is faulty.

Starting

Castor brakes
2.
Start switch
Lock the castor brakes (1) before starting the vacuum cleaner.

Starting/stopping the vacuum cleaner

Turn the switch (2) to "I" position to start the vacuum
cleaner.
Turn the switch to "0" position to turn the vacuum cleaner
off.
Checking the rotation direction of the vacuum unit
motor
Check the vacuum cleaner operation by putting a hand on the
inlet.
If the vacuum cleaner expels the air from the vacuum hose,
the rotation direction is not correct; remove the plug from the
socket and turn the selector inside the plug to perform the
correct phase connection.
[ NOTE ]
When the job is done, before turning off the vacuum
cleaner it is recommended to keep the vacuuming unit
running for at least three minutes without collecting dust, in
order to obtain a better cleaning of the cartridges.

Translation of the original instructions

Primary cartridge filter operation

1.
Solenoid valve for filter cleaning
2.
Filter cartridges
3.
Timer
The filtering cartridges (2) serve the purpose of filtering the
intake air. The vacuum cleaner is equipped with solenoid
valves (1) that, by deflecting the air coming out of the blower,
allow for cyclic cleaning of the filtering cartridges (2). The fully
automatic system grants work continuity and is driven by a
cyclic timer (3) that allows to adjust the intervals T0, T1, T2
which define the cleaning cycle.
WARNING!
The factory setting of the cycle intervals is the one
that allows for a better cleaning in the majority of
applications, for this reason the factory setting should
not be modified. If necessary, for heavy applications
(for example, to collect heavy quantities of very thin
dust - more than 3 kg per minutes), it is possible to
modify the intervals by following the instructions in
the Service Manual, available at the Manufacturer's
Service Centre.

Emergency stopping

Turn the main switch to "0" position.

Emptying the container

WARNING!
Before proceeding with these operations, turn off the
vacuum cleaner and remove the plug from the power
socket.
Before emptying the container, keep the vacuum unit running
for at least three minutes without collecting dust, so that the
filter cleaning automatic system complete its cycle.
1.
Dust container
Release the container (1), then remove and empty it.
Make sure the seal is in perfect condition and correctly
positioned.
Place the container back in position and secure it again.
