17. Setting the scald protector
Warning!
If the hot water supply temperature is above 45°C, the scald protector should be set.
Failure to observe this instruction can result in injuries due to scalding.

The scald protector (hot water stop) has been set to 38°C at the factory. Set the
system-specific parameters before use.
17.1 Remove the cover platelet (d).
17.2 Release the screw (c) with its disk.
17.3 Remove the temperature selector (b).
17.4 Remove the stop ring (a).
17.5 Trigger the fitting.
17.6 The temperature is freely selectable:
Set the maximum water temperature on the adjustment nut (e), e.g. to 40 °C.
17.7 Mount the stop ring (a) in such a way that the marking (f) is centred below the
markings (g) for the rosette.

Important!
Mount the temperature selector (a) in such a way that the stop is flush against the
stop ring crosspiece.
17.8 Slide the temperature selector (a) onto the stop ring (b).
17.9 Attach the temperature selector (b) and its screw (c) and disk to the fitting.
17.10 Fit the cover platelet (d).
18. Maintenance and care
The fitting must be checked and maintained at regular intervals, depending on the
water quality and in accordance with the local conditions and rules and regulations
applicable at the site.

Use suitable cleaning agents which do not attack the fitting in a proper manner and
rinse with water after use. Any cleaning and disinfection agents used must be
polycarbonate-compatible. High-pressure cleaners must not be used for cleaning.
Removing the cover plate
For some maintenance tasks, the cover plate must be removed.
