To get the best service from your instrument :
read carefully this user's manual,
respect the safety precautions.
Ensure that the jaws are correctly closed
Do not use the clamp for currents above 1000 A RMS (See Ch.5.2 Limits on current measurements).
Ensure the correct positioning of the selector switch and if applicable the leads, before any measurement.
Systematically disconnect the clamp from any electric source before changing the batteries.
Set the selector to OFF when you are not using the clamp.
This clamp may be used on category III installations, with voltages always less than 600 V in relation to the earth.
Category III meets with the strict reliablity and availability requirements corresponding to permenent use on fixed
industrial installations.
Use accessories that are compliant with the safety standards (NF EN61010-2-31), with 600 V voltage rating and
overvoltage category III.
