4.20 MAX/MIN : Recording of max/min

The MAX/MIN button gives access to the RECORD mode and, by successive presses, reading of the max, min,
average and current values of the 3 digital displays.
RECORD : Recording
Press the MAX/MIN button: RECORD is displayed; operation is permanent. The clamp records the max and
min values, and calculates the average value since the beginning of the recording. It is possible for the
recording to last for up to 24h.
The displays continue to give the current values.
At each new max or min recorded, a beep is emitted.
NB 1 : It is possible to enter RECORD mode by presetting, by pressing HOLD then MAX/MIN.
RECORD mode is then selected on HOLD but not set off, PAUSE is displayed.
The recording will start when HOLD mode is exited. This procedure can be useful to start a recording
at a particular moment and also to avoid registering untimely max and min values when putting the
clamp in place.
NB 2 : If SMOOTH mode is run before recording, the filtered values are recorded. Pressing the SMOOTH
button during the recording cancels the recorded values; RECORD mode is reinitialised on SMOOTH.
HOLD RECORD-PAUSE : Pause the recording
On RECORD mode, press the HOLD button to temporarily stop recording: PAUSE and HOLD are displayed.
The recorded values are frozen, the SMOOTH button can not be used.
- By successive presses on the MAX/MIN button you access reading of the MAX, MIN, AVG (HOLD is steady
on the display) and the current values (HOLD flashes).
NB : Press the MAX/MIN button again: HOLD is again steady on the display; you access the current digital
value frozen when HOLD was pressed; the recording is still temporarily paused.
- Press HOLD again and the recording restarts: HOLD and PAUSE disappear. The values previously recorded
are saved.
Exit recording mode
Press and hold the MAX/MIN button, reset the clamp to normal mode: RECORD or RECORD-PAUSE
disappears, the previously recorded values are erased.
Use of the switch also causes RECORD or RECORD-PAUSE mode to be exited.

4.21 DATA OUT : Communication output

The communication output, of optical RS232 unidirectional type, allows copying of all the measurements made for
a given position of the switch, on printer or PC.
Data transmission is done in ASCII code.
The printout is done on a 40 character width.
Four transmission modes are possible :
- In NORMAL mode (current values): single or SCAN transmission
- In RECORD mode (MIN, MAX, AVG values): single or SCAN transmission
The configuration of the transmission specifications is accessible on the PRGM position of the switch.
, by successive presses :
