Five adhesive labels are supplied with your clamp.
Choose the label corresponding to your language and above all do not forget to stick it on the back of the clamp.
Once you have stuck it on, this label will always remind you of the functions accessible via the press buttons.
The F27 Power and Harmonics Clamp measures :
-
AC and DC voltages,
-
AC and DC currents,
-
AC and DC powers on balanced single phase or 3-phase networks (T3FE),
-
the power factor, and its displacement, the crest factor,
-
the harmonics on current and voltage order by order,
-
the ripple rate, the K and CBEMA (THDF) factors.
It records the min, max, average values.
It copies all the measurements to PC or printer via an RS232 optical output.
The large display offers excellent reading comfort : 3 x 10,000 measurement counts with a complete set of symbols
(units, functions, warning lights...),
It also has backlighting with auto off.
It is safe and rapid to use.
-
Select Current, Voltage or Power with the rotary switch, clamp-on or connect up and read the values.
-
If you need further information, simply press one of the 8 function buttons*.
-
Hold the display if necessary.
-
Record the min/max if necessary.
-
Copy to printer or PC if required.
* NB : the mini-guide of instructions supplied with the clamp summarises the operating procedures.
The base accuracy is :
-
1% on voltage measurements
-
2% on current measurements
-
2% on measurements of power and associated quantities
-
1% on measurement of harmonic rates
Refer to 9. APPENDIX
NB : To allow you to familiarise yourself with your clamp, the different functions and the display are briefly described
below. The following chapter "Operating procedures" presents all the functions.

3.1 CLAMPING THE CABLE

Jaws
They clamp the cable to measure AC and DC CURRENTS.
The air gap includes a feature which avoids pinching the conductor.
The red colour was chosen to identify the potentially dangerous zone on current measurement.
