The pH simulator 112 is used to test the functional integrity of the pH trans-
mitter, the AS7, AS9 or AK9 connecting cable, and for trouble-shooting.
It simulates a METTLER TOLEDO pH electrode.
Each pH simulator 112 is tested by METTLER TOLEDO prior to deli very.
– DANGER! The potential compensation jack should not be connected to
a protective ground terminal under any circumstances!
– The pH simulator is not approved for use in explosion-hazard areas.
– The life of the built-in battery is generally 5 years.
– When not in use, set the pH simulator to the "Off" position. This will
prolong battery life.
– Do not open the pH simulator. Return the pH simulator to the point of sale
when the battery needs to be replaced (see chap. 6 "Maintenance").
– The pH simulator does not replace calibration procedure with buffer solu-
tions.
The pH simulator is connected to the pH transmitter with an AS7 or AS9 cable
and replaces an METTLER TOLEDO pH electrode. An AK9 cable can also be
used together with an AS7/K7 adapter.
A 2 mm jack is located next to the screw cap. This is used for potential com-
pensation purposes.
The pH simulator simulates an ideal electrode at pH 4, 7, and 9, and at tem-
peratures of 20 °C and 50 °C. The resistance of the pH sensitive glass is also
compensated.
