Tunneller
CAUTION
While tunnelling, the user should always
grip the handle firmly in order to ensure a
safe guidance of the tunnelling rod through
the tissue.
The use of catheters with an outer diame-
ter of > 2.6 mm can cause damage to the
catheter material, which can result in the
impairment or loss of function of the Shunt
System.
When pulling through the catheter, care
must be taken that the catheter is not under
tension in order to prevent damage to the
catheter material and to avoid breaking the
connection between the tunnelling rod and
the catheter. When pulling back the Tun-
neller, the user should always grip the han-
dle firmly in order to ensure a safe guidance
of the tunnelling rod through the tissue.
