8 Troubleshooting
Only suitably knowledgeable, qualified professio
nal technicians may perform repairs on the
machine.
Malfunction
Machine will not start.
When using an extraction, the
suction housing sucks itself to
the floor
The grinding pattern is un
even.
The machine shuts down
automatically.

Cause
The voltage supply has not been
properly connected.
The safety cap is not properly
engaged [21, Fig. B].
The connecting cable is defective.
There is not adequate clearance
between the dust cover and the
[14, Fig. A/M] surface to be ground.
Tools are loose.
Tools are damaged or worn.
The machine is overloaded.
The drive overload protection has trig
gered.
The connecting cable (extension ca
ble) is too long.
Faulty mains connection.
Rectification
Join the connecting cable (extension
cable) with a regular power socket
and plug the connecting cable's coup
ling into the power plug [4, Fig. A].
If necessary, press the safety cap on
the safety switch until it snaps in.
Replace the connecting cable.
Correct the clearance between the
dust cover and the surface to be
ground (! Chapter 3.1 – page 17).
Fasten tools.
Replace tools.

If necessary, reduce the speed
with the dial [20, Fig. B].

Select other tools if needed
(! Chapter 4.2, page 19).

Reset:
a.
Disconnect the power plug
[4, Fig. A] from the mains.
b.
Wait 30 seconds.
c.
Restart the machine
(! Chapter 3.1 – page 17).
Observe the minimum cross section
and the maximum length of the
connecting cable (extension cable)

Check the connecting cable
(extension cable) and replace if ne
cessary.
Use a different power socket if ne
cessary.
