Assembly instruction
Guldmann recommends that the person making the assembly of
the transfer platform has a basis mechanical understanding.
Unpack the transfer platform on a level surface and gently remove
cardboard and protective foam.
Insert the two tubes (pos. 3, 4) into the openings of the baseplate
(pos. 2). Make sure that the leg support front (pos. 5) is facing
away from the brake pedal (pos. 6). In the baseplate openings, 2
screws (pos. 7) are pre-mounted with retaining washers (pos. 8).
Tighten these screws into the thread at the end of the tubes using
an Allen key. Make sure that the tubes are mounted correctly,
tighten properly and are not wobbly.
To dismantle, untighten screws until the tubes are loose. Make
sure that the screws stays mounted into the tubes.

Use
The transfer platform is designed to transfer from a sitting position
only. Before using the transfer platform, we strongly recommend
that a full risk assessment is carried out by a qualified person
to ensure the user capability, the correct belts are used and the
environment is suitable. Anyone using the transfer platform should
be fully trained in its use.
Before every transfer with the GTP1, we strongly recommend you
carry out a quick assessment of the user's capability.
Working with the transfer platform
Always maintain a good working posture when applying the belt
or working with the transfer platform. When moving a person use
handle and walk with the transfer platform keeping the load as
close as possible to your body. Never pull or twist at arm's length,
this can cause injury to the helper.
Also, follow the guidance labels on the tubes.
Quick Assessment
With the user in a seated position in chair / wheelchair / edge of
bed – ask the user to push down through his/her knees (feet must
be placed flat on the floor) – upon inspection the helper should
see the user's quads tighten. This indicates strength to assist with
the standing procedure, it also confirms communication skills.
For testing the user's strength in the arms - ask the user to reach
their hands to you and ask to clench your fists/hands. The helper
should feel the user tighten the hands.
