key and wait at least 10 seconds before operating the starter again.

If the engine floods, set the choke to the OPEN/RUN position, place the
throttle in FAST and attempt to start the engine again.
8.
If the choke lever was moved to the CLOSED position to start the engine,
gradually move it to the OPEN position as the engine warms up.
The engine may make a metallic rapping noise (spark knock, ping) while
running under a heavy load. This is normal. Replace the fuel with premium
quality gasoline if the metallic rapping noise continues under normal load.
Contact a qualified mechanic if the pinging continues as this may indicate
existing engine damage.

STOPPING THE ENGINE

CAUTION! Do not choke carburetor to stop engine. In an emergency turn the
engine switch to the OFF position to stop the engine.
Stop the engine by following this procedure:
1.
Move the throttle lever (H) to the MIN. position.
2.
Turn the engine switch key (K1) to the OFF position.
3.
Turn the fuel valve (E) to the OFF position.
CIRCUIT BREAKER ACTIVATES
1.
The engine may overheat and shut down. Follow the steps for Stopping
the Engine.
2.
Allow the engine to cool.
3.
Press the circuit protector (K2) button on the electric start box (K) to reset
the circuit.
4.
Follow the steps in Starting the Engine when ready.
