Maintenance
No special maintenance is required. The spindle area is protected
from a degree of contamination by covering.
The spindle threads are protected by special devices to wipe away
dirt.
General Cleaning and Lubrication:
– Loosen clamping screw 150, remove centring pin 140
– Pull out slide unit including cover plate
– Lubricate spindle if required
– Clean all bearing surfaces, guides und threads thoroughly and
treat with machine oil.
Note that the left and right slides should not be
turned toward one another.
(Adjusting the centre point)
– If using several vices, do not confuse the spindle bearing
systems.
– The X notch on the base above the transverse slot can be used
to check the centre point position when reinstalling the slide.
– Reinstall the slide unit, as described on page 3
Spare Parts
Only original GRESSEL parts are to be used.
Repairs are to be carried out by qualified service personnel.
