Note: You can prepare rice/cereals in the cooking pot (4) and vegetables on the cooking insert (3) at
the same time. To this end, place the cooking insert (3) onto the cooking pot (4) during cooking. Please
note the different cooking times of your foods. You may need to place the cooking insert (3) on the
cooking pot (4) at a different time, add more water to the rice/cereals as indicated in the reference
table, or give water in the empty cooking pot after cooking the rice/cereals.
Tips and suggestions
▪ The cooking time may vary slightly depending on the size of the food being cooked. The water
volume must be adapted accordingly. Smaller foods cook quicker than large ones. We recommend
cooking foods of similar size together and occasionally stir it (or adding smaller pieces at different
times) to obtain homogenous results.
▪ If steaming has finished before the ingredients have cooked, add cold water to the cooking pot and
then replace the cooking insert and lid.
▪ At the end of cooking, stir the rice using the rice spoon (7) and allow it to stand in this mode for a
few minutes. This produces perfect results.
▪ To give your dishes even more flavour, add onions, thyme, laurel leaves, cloves, etc. to your white
beans, lentils or other pulses during cooking.
▪ You can also sauté onions, garlic or other herbs/spices in oil before adding them to your rice or
vegetables for cooking.
Using the "to-go" lid
The "to-go" lid (2) can be used to transport the cooking pot (4) safely and easily. Allow the contents to
cool down and close the cooking pot (4) with the "to-go" lid (2) using the four clasps. Make sure that
these are not over the carrying handles of the cooking pot (4). The cooking pot is closed safely when
the clasps clip into place on the cooking pot (4) with an audible "click."
