The appliance may be used only for the intended purpose and in accordance with this instruction
manual. No claims of any kind may be pressed for damage resulting from improper use. You are
therefore advised to read the instruction manual carefully before use. It contains instructions for
using, cleaning and looking after the appliance. We accept no liability for any damage resulting from
non-observance.
Keep this instruction manual in a safe place and pass it on to any subsequent user together with the
appliance. Please also note the warranty information at the end of the instruction manual.

▪ The appliance should be connected only to earthed wall sockets that have been installed in
accordance with the regulations. The power cable and plug must be dry.
▪ Do not pull or clamp the connection cable over sharp edges. Do not leave it dangling. Protect it
from heat and oil.
▪ Only use an extension cable if it is in perfect condition.
▪ Never pull the mains plug out of the socket by the power cord or with wet hands.
▪ Do not carry the appliance by the cable.
▪ Do not place the appliance on hot surfaces such as hotplates or near open gas flames because this
could melt the casing.
▪ The appliance should be used on a flat, heat-resistant surface at least 70cm from flammable
materials (e.g. curtains).
▪ Do not place the appliance on water-sensitive surfaces. Splashed water may damage such surfaces.
▪ Caution: steam escapes from the appliance! Do not operate the appliance underneath sensitive
furniture (e.g. wall cupboards).
▪ Caution: the appliance gets hot! Risk of scalding from escaping steam. Do not move the appliance
or pull on the mains cable during operation.
▪ The cooking pot (4) should be filled to no higher than the „MAX" mark. This mark refers only
to cooking rice. The volumes indicated on the measuring jug (5) refer to water and are in ml
(millilitres).
▪ Do not use or store the appliance outside, in damp rooms or within reach of children.
▪ The appliance must be supervised when in use.
▪ When the appliance is not being used, pull the mains plug out of the socket.
▪ Do not cover or block the condensation opening in the glass lid (1).
▪ Only ever use the supplied rice spoon (7) to stir food in the cooking pot (4) or remove it from the
cooking pot. Metal utensils may damage the non-stick coating.
▪ Ensure that no food gets between the cooking pot (4) and the heating unit (5).
▪ Never add liquid or foods to the outer pot of the heating unit (5).
▪ Do not transport until the appliance has cooled off.
▪ Stop using the appliance and/or pull the mains plug out of the socket immediately if
