Before you begin, ensure that the concrete pad is level.
If the concrete pad is not level, you will need to raise one end of the
crush/chute by packing under the load bar feet. Load bars need to be
installed on a level surface in order to weigh accurately.
1. Lift one end of the crush/chute so that one load bar can be positioned
underneath.
2. Slide the load bar underneath the crush/chute. Align the holes of the load bar
mounting plate to the holes in the crush/chute, then slowly lower the
crush/chute so that it almost touches the load bars. Realign the holes as
necessary, and affix the load bars with the 12 mm (7/16") bolts at one end,
then the other. Tighten with the Nyloc* nuts and slowly lower the crush/chute
completely onto the load bars.
3. Lift the other end of the crush/chute just high enough to slide the second load
bar underneath the crush/chute and repeat the installation.
4. Using the hammer drill and masonry bit, drill one hole in the concrete pad using
a hole in one of the feet as a guide, then bolt down to the concrete using the
supplied anchor bolts. Repeat the same procedure for the other foot on the
same side of the crush/chute. Then go to the other side of the crush/chute and
repeat the same procedure to ensure that the load bars don't shift. Finish
drilling the rest of the holes and bolt down using the anchor bolts.
5. Feed the indicator cable through the plastic casing/conduit, then attach the
plastic casing/conduit to the crush/chute with the cable ties, avoiding the load
bar feet.
6. Plug the indicator cable into your weigh scale indicator.
