23. Calling with more than one handset

If you have more than one handset registered to the same base, you can
make internal calls, transfer external calls between the registered
handsets, and set up a conference call.

23.1 Internal call

23.2 Call transfer between handsets

24. Caller ID on call waiting

When you subscribe to Call Waiting service from your local telephone
company, the handset will display the name and number of the second caller
while you are having a conversation.

25. Changing batteries

25.1 Door unit
If the ring tone at the door unit is weak or no communication is possible, the
batteries in the door unit should be replaced:

Use the supplied torx wrench [24] to remove the torx screw [23] from the
hole [12].
!
Pull the door unit [1] upwards and out of the bracket [15].
!
Open the battery compartment [13] of the door unit by sliding the
battery compartment cover [11] down.
!
Remove and dispose of the old batteries.
!
Insert two new alkaline LR14 (C), 1.5 V batteries into the battery
compartment, watching for the correct polarity. The door unit will ring
once.
!
Replace the battery compartment cover.
!
Slide the door unit back onto the bracket.
!
Screw the torx screw back into the door unit.
25.2 Handset
If the batteries in the handset discharge too quickly, they should be replaced:

Open the battery compartment [53] of the handset [39] by sliding the
battery compartment cover [55] down.
!
Remove and dispose of the old batteries.
!
Insert two new Ni-MH batteries AAA, 1.2 V; 600 mAh batteries into the
battery compartment, watching for the correct polarity.
!
Replace the battery compartment cover.
