handset will behave according to the Out of Range condition.

13. Radio range

The range of the radio transmission depends on various parameters. Under
ideal conditions up to 200 m can be achieved in free space (between door
unit and base as well as between base and handset), indoors the range is
only up to 30 m.
A guarantee for this range cannot be given, as the local conditions at the
installation site may interfere with it.
The radio range can be affected by the following:
#
walls and ceilings, especially those made from reinforced concrete or
metal
#
coated windows (e.g. energy saving windows), radiators, mirrors, metal
surfaces
#
electrical wires and electric devices (e.g. electric motor, microwave oven)
#
devices with the same or an adjacent frequency.
The strength of the received radio signals is displayed with the icon
blinking icon
= weak or lost signal
permanently flashing icon = good radio communication
