V. ASSEMBLY

1) Assembling the axle

Unwrap the axle and bring it to the installation site.
Axle, motor side
Position the axle such that the end that will receive
the drive key is on the side where the stand housing
the motor will be located, set it down protected from
the ground by wooden chocks, bubble wrap, etc. to
prevent scratching its surface.
Axle, side opposite the motor

key groove
Unwrap the stands and place them where they are
to be installed. The stand that will house the motor
features a hollow shaft with a key groove.
Opposite stand
Remove the white dummy pin from the shaft (motor
side), and replace it with the metallic key (provided
in the bag of fittings).
Engage each end of the axle into its housing in the
appropriate stand.
On the side opposite the motor, fasten the axle into
the stand by inserting 9 countersunk hex screws
6x20 through the flange and the stand. An Allen key
should be used to tighten the screws (Do not use an
electric screw driver). Use the Molykote to facilitate
assembly.
If you meet
resistance, remove and
reposition the screws.
