The following curve represents the best cutting scenario achieved using
Extended Cutting consumables, no extension cord and a Miller Bobcat
welding generator with a Kohler engine. Some reduction in performance will
occur with the use of extension cords (approximately 5% per 25 feet of
extension cord), and using shield cutting consumables (approximately 10%).

Duty Cycle is percentage of 10 min-
utes that unit can cut at rated load
without overheating.
If unit overheats, thermostat(s)
opens, output stops, and cooling
fan runs. Wait fifteen minutes for
unit to cool. Reduce amperage or
duty cycle before cutting.
Y Exceeding duty cycle can
damage unit and void war-
ranty.

The cutting speed curve shows the
recommended maximum cutting
speed capabilities of the power
source and torch for mild steel of
various thickness.
Y Exceeding
recommended
cutting speeds will cause
rapid erosion of the tip and
electrode.
Cutting speed is approximately
10 inches per minute at 0.7 in (18
mm) mild steel thickness at max
setting/tip saver mode.
