4.2 Cleaning, disinfection, sterilisation

Always clean the components of the
mask thoroughly before disinfecting or
sterilising them as indicated in the above
Table.
Description of procedures
Rinse cycle at 65 °C. Then rinse all

*We recommend the disinfectant
GIGASEPT FF. This disinfectant has proven
compatibility with the mask. Follow the
manufacturer's instructions without fail.
Note
We recommend that you wear gloves
(e.g. disposable gloves) while cleaning
and disinfecting your mask.
4.3 After cleaning and disinfecting
Dry all parts thoroughly after cleaning and
disinfecting. Check the components for
residual contamination or damage. If
necessary, repeat the cleaning and
disinfecting. Replace damaged parts.
Reassemble the mask.

4.4 Multiple patient use

If the mask is used by a different patient, it must
be cleaned and disinfected first.
Disassemble the mask. Disinfect or sterilize all
parts as described in section 4.2 "Cleaning,
disinfection, sterilisation". Use a new
headgear.
5 Funcional checks
Carry out a visual check after each cleaning
and disinfection procedure.
If the mask cushion is damaged and is no
longer airtight, replace it with a new one.
Check the functionality and air-tightness of the
ball-and-socket joint on the elbow. If it no
longer moves easily or is no longer airtight,
replace the elbow and retaining ring.
Parts that are no longer usable can be
disposed of as normal household waste.
