Insert two new 1.5 V LR03/AAA-batteries
into the battery compartment. Consult
the polarity markings in the battery
compartment. Be sure not to reverse the
polarity.

Remove the battery compartment cover.

Secure the battery compartment cover
with the fixing screw.
We recommend that you change both batteries at the same time - if old and new batteries
are mixed the batteries can discharge one another. Use only batteries of the type stated.

maintenance and cleaning.

Using the device

Switching ON/OFF
Press the ON button (1) to turn the device ON. The device turns itself off automatically
after three minutes of inactivity. Press the OFF button (10) for approx. three seconds to
turn the device OFF.
Measuring point
- The measuring point is factory set to the
back of the device. Press the measuring
point adjustment button (8) to switch the
measuring point to the front of the
device.
- The device beeps when you change the
setting. The device will change the
measuring point to the factory setting
(back) whenever it is switched OFF.
Display illumination
Press the light/unit button (9) to turn the display illumination On or OFF. Display
illumination can be used in dark conditions.
Setting units
Press the light/unit button (9) for approx. three seconds to select the units [metres (m), Inch
(in), feet (ft), feet and inch (' ").
