Addition / Subtraction
Pressing the plus button (5) and minus button (6) allows to add or subtract a value to/from
the previous one. To add two values, measure the first distance and subsequently press
the plus button (5). Measure the second distance. The second value is added to the first
one.
To subtract a value, measure the first distance and subsequently press the minus button
(6). Measure the second distance. The second value is subtracted from the first one.
Press the OFF button (10) to undo the last step. Press the Max/Min button (4) to go back
to the distance measurement function.
Note: The addition / subtraction function allows you to add / subtract more than two
values.
Measuring areas
Press the area/volume button (2). The area symbol appears on the display.
The next segment of the measuring sequence (length/width) flashes on the display. Press
the ON button (1) to measure the length.
Press the ON button (1) to measure the width of the area next. The size of the area
appears in the third line of the display. The individual values for length and width appear in
the first line and the second line of the display.

Measuring volumes

Press the area/volume button (2) twice until the symbol for measuring volumes appears
on the display. The next segment of the measuring sequence (length/width/height) flashes
on the display. Press the ON button (1) to measure the length. Press the ON button (1)
again to measure the width. The size of the measured area appears in the third line of the
display. Press the ON button (1) again to measure the height.
The measured height appears in the second line of the display. The volume of the object
appears in the third line of the display.
