Adjusting the car's safety belt
Make sure that both Isofix connectors are posi-
tioned and fastened correctly (Pic. 9) and that
the child car seat is positioned on the seat facing
forward (Pic. 11). Pass the car's seat belt through
the two slots located at the bottom of the backrest,
as shown in Pictures 12 and 13, and then fasten
the buckle. Using force, tighten the belt, making
sure all extra belt is wound up by the reel; pull the
diagonal section upwards to securely block the
child car seat in position (Pic. 14).
Using the child car seat's safety harnesses
Proper belt adjustment will ensure maximum
protection of the child. The child car seat is fitted
with a safety harness group buckle that is easy
to use.
1.
Place the child in the child car seat.
2.
Pass the child car seat's harnesses above the
shoulders (1) and pelvis (2).
3.
The buckle must be between the child's legs (3)
(Pic. 15).
Fastening the harnesses
1.
Join the right and left connectors, and then in-
sert them in the buckle until they click into place
(Pic. 16). The clicking sound indicates correct
closure.
2.
To release the safety harnesses, press the buc-
kle button downwards.
Adjusting the harnesses
Pull the adjustment strap, on the front of the child
car seat, until the harnesses properly adhere to
the child's body in a comfortable way (Fig. 17).
The harnesses must be tight enough so that the
child is held in position but they should not cause
discomfort or distress.
Loosening the harnesses
1.
Press the release button on the front of the seat
(1) (Pic.18).
2.
Holding down the button, pull forward the har-
nesses above the shoulders (2) (Pic.18).
Attention: the buckle between the legs has a fixed
position and cannot be adjusted. Do not pull the
shoulder straps. Make sure that no part of the har-
ness group is twisted.
Determining the proper height of the shoul-
der harnesses
Always make sure that the openings in the back-
rest through which the harnesses are passed are
at shoulder level or just slightly above shoulder
level (Pic.19). The backrest has two harness
positions (a - b) that must be used according
to the child's height. To change the position of
the harnesses, unfasten them from the harness
group connector (Pic.20) and remove them from
the backrest, together with the shoulder straps;
then, repeat these steps in reverse order from the
new position.
