3. TRANSPORT AND STORAGE

When taking delivery of the equipment, check that it
has not been damaged in transport. If any damage is
noted, take the necessary steps with the carrier within
the allowed time.
If the equipment delivered is to be installed at a
later time, store it in a dry place and protect it
from damage and outside influences (moisture,
frost, etc.).

4. PRODUCTS AND ACCESSORIES

- Automatism by float switch adjustable through sliding
stops.
4.3 Accessories (optional)
Isolating valves • Motor protection circuit-breaker •
Unions • Counter flanges screw-on.
5. INSTALLATION
5.1 Mounting (see FIG. 1)
The group is installed directly on the ground without
foot valve.
Installation of the switch control rod:
- Attach the rod elbowed end in the lever hole, pre-
senting the rod perpendicular (see Fig. 2).
- -Lift the lever to maxi up position and engage the rod
in the lower pump guide by a slight flexion if required.
The switch allows, according to adjustments of float
stops, the automatic pump stop and start.
Nota : group GV 50 can, if the installation requires so,
be suspended and secured through its clamp on per-
fectly horizontal supports.
5.2 Hydraulic connections
- Connect the discharge pipe at the pump:
Discharge ports
Do not have the pump bear the weight of the
piping; use supports (see FIG.1)
5.3 Electrical connections (see FIG. 4 and 5).
The electrical connections and tests must be
made by a licensed electrician and comply with
applicable local standards.
Electric protection of three-phase motor
Provide a magneto-thermal switch set to the current
indicated on the motor data plate.
Use a cable meeting EDF standards: 3 or 4 conductors,
3 phases + earth:

GV 28T
: 3-phase 230 V : 4 x 0.75 mm
GV 50T
: 3-phase 400 V : 4 x 1.55 mm
Connect the motor according to the supply voltage.
Ensure the power installed well absorbs the starting
current (equal to 6 or 8 times the rated current).
GV28: the connection is performed onto the switch
secured to the motor.
GV50: the connection is performed onto the switch
and the motor.
