Connection and operation of the depth measuring sensor
for conducting measurements inside plaster and brickwork -
item no. 60 80 10
1. Drill two 6 mm diameter holes into the material to be exa-
mined (max. up to 23 cm).
2. The distance between the holes should be 50 mm +/- 20
mm, because a deviation of this range of tolerance can fal-
sify the measured value.
3. Select an appropriate drilling depth in order to obtain a cle-
ar representation of the situation of the source of moisture.
4. Now place the measuring needle adapter on the measuring
needles of the HPM touch pro and measure the desired
area with the depth measuring sensor.
After drilling wait around 30 minutes for the degree of moi-
sture that has evaporated as a result of the drilling heat
to reach its original value again. Otherwise the measured
value results can be falsified.
In certain circumstances this may even take up to 24 hours
and as a result the measurement will only be possible on
the following day. For example for measurements in con-
crete.
Connection and operation of the hammer electrode for con-
ducting measurements inside wood - item no. 60 80 12
1. Place the measuring needle adapter on the measuring
needles of the HPM touch pro.
2. Place the measuring needles of the hammer electrode on
the appropriate object.
3. Use the hand knob to knock the measuring needles careful-
ly into the wood until they have reached the desired depth
(max. 5 cm).
4. Connect the measuring needle adapter to the hammer
electrode in the wood.
5. Read the measured value from the instrument.
