Safety Instructions

You may only spray coating materials such as paints, varnishes, glazes etc. with a

flashpoint of 21°C (32°C in UK) and higher, without additional warming. In Germany
these are coating materials of hazard classes A II and A III; see material tin.
The device is not to be used in work places covered by Ex-protection regulations.

No sources of ignition are to be in the immediate area when spraying, e.g. open
●
flame; the smoking of cigarettes, cigars and pipes; sparks; glowing wires; hot
surfaces etc.
Do not spray any liquid of unknown hazard potential.
●
Recommendation: Wear a breathing mask and safety glasses when spraying.
CAUTION - DANGER OF INJURY!
Never point the spray gun at yourself, at other people or at animals.
When working with the W 650 indoors as well as outdoors, be sure that no solvent

vapours are sucked in by the spray gun.
When outdoors, be aware of the wind direction. When working indoors, provide for
●
adequate ventilation.
Do not spray onto the spray gun.
●
Do not allow children to handle the spray gun.
●
Never open the unit by yourself for carrying out repairs in the electronic part.
●
With original WAGNER accessories and spare parts, you have the guarantee that
all safety regulations are fulfilled.
Coating Materials Suitable for Use
Water- and solvent-based paints, finishes, primers, 2-component paints, clear finishes,
automotive finishes, staining sealers and wood sealer-preservatives.

Coating Materials Not Suitable for Use

Wall paints (emulsion paints) etc., alkali and acidic paints.

Preparing the Coating Material

The paints usually need to be diluted for use with the spray gun. Since information on
sprayable dilutions is seldom given on the material tin, you can use the guidelines in the
viscosity table on the following page (viscosity = consistency of the coating material).
