Changing the flame height
If the flame, despite the adjustment, is too high or irregular (the colour is not even), hold the
spring on the combustion chamber and carefully move it back and forth once or twice. The
flame of the PH2750 can also be reduced by turning the adjustment button (no. 7 – diag. A) a
little to the left. If the problem persists, switch the heater off and ask your supplier for
assistance. If you continue to use a heater that is functioning poorly, the results will be soot
and/or carbon monoxide.
If you use a ventilator or an air humidifier at the same time, the flame may become
somewhat pink. This is normal.
Never touch the automatic ignition when the heater is in operation. Pressing this will cause
the flame to rise, thereby burning the wick.
F. SWITCHING THE HEATER OFF
3. Press the start button (8 in diagram A) to move the wick down. If the wick does not
move down completely, you must turn the wick height adjustment knob (7 in diagram
A) anticlockwise until the wick is as low as possible.
4. Use the spring to lift the burner up after 2 or 3 minutes and check whether the burner
is indeed completely extinguished.
In order to limit the spread of unpleasant odours when the heater is switched off, you
can hold the wick height adjustment knob when you press the stop button. The wick
will then revolve very slowly to the lowest point, so that the combustion gradually
decreases (only PH2750).
You may see a blue flame emitting from the wick – this is not a cause for concern.
This last for approximately 5 minutes, the time that is required to burn the remnant
gas that is still present in the upper part of the wick housing.
SWITCHING OFF FOR SAFETY REASONS
Your heater may switch itself off for safety reasons. This happens:
If the temperature in the room is sufficient (around 25°C or more, depending on weather
conditions and the size of the room). The safety feature will then switch the heater off
automatically.
If the heater has had a hard knock or fallen down. The shock and falling safety feature
will then switch the heater off automatically. Check that no damage has occurred before
