WARNINGS IN ADVANCE
You are now the owner of a EUROM petroleum heater – a practical and reliable form of
supplemental heating that will undoubtedly give you great pleasure.
You must also exercise the greatest possible caution when handling fuel and fire. Therefore
please read these instructions for use carefully before using your heater and keep them in a
safe place. You may need them again if a fault occurs or if the heater does not function
correctly.
You have purchased a heating device that operates with liquid fuel and that can be used for
the temporary supplementary heating of rooms. When using the heater you must take
account of the following safety instructions:
The room in which you are using the heater must be sufficiently ventilated. This
heater is mobile and can be used at various locations in your home, on condition that the
room is sufficiently ventilated (there must be sufficient are supply and extraction through
openings with a minimum diameter of 50cm²). If you use the heater in residential rooms,
and particularly in bedrooms, where this type of ventilation opening is not present, you
must leave a window open while using the heater.
The petroleum that you use must be pure, fresh and in compliance with the
regulations stipulated in the government legislation of 8 January 1998 (see also
paragraph C - FUEL).
Your heater may only be used in a room that is not too small, where the
temperature is not higher than approximately 25 °C.
Do not use the heater in one of the following locations:
-
in small, closed spaces such as caravans, cabins or boats
-
in places where there is a draft
-
in places where flammable gasses may be released/may accumulate or where there
are open flames
-
under a chimney
-
in the vicinity of curtains or flammable objects
-
in a room where the temperature already exceeds 25°C.
The heater is intended for temporary use and may never operate unsupervised.
Switch the fire off (and check that it is actually off) when you leave the room, even if this
is only for a short time.
Do not place any objects on and do not hang object in front of the heater.
This heater is unsuitable for the preparation of food or the drying of clothing, etc.
Avoid any contact with the grill while the heater is in operation!
The top of the heater does not become very warm, but the grill does become hot.
Ensure that there is careful supervision when this device is used in the presence
of children, disabled persons or pets. Do not permit children to play with the device.
This device is unsuitable for operation by children or persons with physical, sensory or
mental disabilities or by persons without any knowledge or experience of this device.
It is no case permitted to execute repairs on this device. This may only be
executed by an appropriately authorized expert. If you fail to comply with this
instruction, you or other people in the room run the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning! In
addition, the liability of the supplier/importer/manufacturer lapses.
Do not use the heater continuously
