6.13 Setting the volume

• Use the VOL + 33 and VOL - 34 buttons
on your parent unit to set the volume at
which you wish to hear the sound
transmissions from the monitored room.
You will hear a beep at the appropriate
volume each time you press one of these
buttons. The louder your chosen setting,
the louder the unit will beep.
The display also shows a num-
ber of bars indicating the cur-
rent volume setting. The louder your
chosen setting, the louder the unit will beep
and the more bars will appear.
Note: The transmitted sounds depend on
the VOX level setting (see "6.8 Setting the
VOX sensitivity level" on page 62). If a

6.14 Mute function

The sound volume of the parent unit can be
set to "mute". Sounds from the monitored

Attention! If the parent unit is switched to
audio monitoring only, i.e., video monitoring
has been deactivated (see "6.9 Switching
between audio and video monitoring" on
page 63), you will not be able to switch the
parent unit to mute. This prevents you from
losing all contact with your baby while using
the baby monitor.
1. To activate the mute function, press the
VOL - button 34 continuously until you
hear two beeps in short sequence.
The parent unit is now mute, meaning
that it will no longer emit any sounds at
all.

Note: If the parent unit is switched to mute,
the vibrating alarm is automatically activated
and cannot be deactivated. This gives par-
ents a better chance of noticing an alarm or
