Fitting instructions
Fitting of the tow bar:
Note: Before starting to mount your tow bar we strongly recommend to read very carefully the fitting
instructions and to search for the fixing points on the vehicle.
1) Loosen the 4 bolts of the bumper
2) Position the tow bar underneath the vehicle and attach it to the vehicle by using the 4 bolts that previously have
been loosened (the plates B have to be placed between the chassis and the bumper fixation holes)
3) Fit the tow bar to the bottom of the trunk by using 4 bolts (2) of 8 x 25 and 4 washers (R) ø 8 LL (inside trunk)
after the holes were drilled with ø 8mm.
4) Tighten all the bolts (according to the turning moments in the chart)
*Since the tow bar with reference number above has been designed to tow the maximum weight given by the
car manufacturer for this model, it is recommended to check the manual in order to find out the maximum
towing weight and the maximum weight on the tow ball that are allowed for your car model.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1) Tighten all bolts again after having used your tow bar for more than 500km
2) Despite the high protection quality of the bolts, it is recommended, in order to be able to demount your tow bar
easily afterwards, to finish this protection after having tightened the bolts with a product such as paint, mastic
or a corrosion resisting coating etc...
