Fitting instructions

1. Disassemble the bumper and remove the plastic buffer beam immediately.
2. Install the assemble plate (1) with (A) and (B) on the backside of the left chassis beam on the provided
screw-thread holes. Insert the bolts and the washers without tightening.
3. Install the tow bar with (A) and (B) on the right backside of the chassis beam and with (C) and (D) on the
already installed plate (1). Insert the bolts and the washers and do tighten everything firmly (see tension).
4. Make an incision in the bottom of the bumper according to drawing 1. Reinstall the bumper on the
vehicle and reinstall it with points (E) of the tow bar with the plastic rivets.
5. Assemble the ball together with the socket plate holder and the security eye, insert the bolts and do
tighten everything firmly (see tension).
Disassemblage of the bumper
- 6 plastic rivets below the bumper
- 2 x 1 screws vertical on top of the wheel casing
- 2 x 2 screws horizontal in the mud catcher
- disassemble the light units
- 4 screws and 2 plastic rivets behind the light units
- 2 screws at the entrance of the trunk
- 4 nuts M8 at the bottom of the vehicle
Note
Please consult your cardealer or owners manual for the maximal permissable towing mass.
Remove any bitumen coating on the fastening position for the tow bar.
When drilling, be carefull not to damage any brake lines, electrical wiring or fuel lines.
