The volume of the incoming call signal depends on your volume
setting. Eight volume levels can be set using the VOL- and VOL+
buttons. The selected volume will be shown in the display for 5
seconds. After this the display will revert to the channel setting.
Note: While you are holding the TALK button, you will not
be able to hear any incoming calls. As is usual with radio
units, only one of the two participants in the call can speak
at any one time.
Therefore, always wait until you hear the signal tone before pressing
the TALK button again.

Channel lock
In order to prevent the selected channel from being changed
unintentionally, you can switch on the channel lock.
To do this, press and hold the

buttons such as TALK, CALL and the loudspeaker buttons will not be
locked.
To turn the keypad lock off once more, press and hold the

will be deactivated.
