8. Handling
•
Never connect the mains plug to a mains socket immediately after the device was taken from a cold to a warm
environment. The resulting condensation may destroy the device. Allow the device to reach room temperature
before connecting it. Wait until the condensation has evaporated.
•
Never pull the mains plug from the mains socket by the cable. Only pull it from the mains socket by the intended
grip areas.
•
Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket in thunderstorms for reasons of safety.
•
Never put any filter foils, masks or other materials over the light exit. This may cause heat damage and danger
of fire.
•
The device may heat up strongly during operation. Never touch the casing during operation. Let the effect light
cool off for 20 minutes after operation before touching or cleaning the casing.
9. Maintenance
Regularly check the technical safety of the effect beamer, e.g. for damage to the mains cable or the casing.
If you have reason to believe that the device can no longer be operated safely, disconnect it immediately and make
sure it is not unintentionally operated. Pull the mains plug from the mains socket!
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
•
the device is visibly damaged
•
the device no longer works
•
the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for an extended period of time or
•
after exposure to extraordinary stress caused by transport
Before cleaning the effect beamer, observe the following safety instructions:
Disconnect the device from all voltage sources before cleaning.
The device contains no parts that require servicing by the user. Therefore, never open the
device.
Only qualified experts familiar with the hazards involved and the relevant regulations must
perform repairs.
The outside of the effect light should only be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth or brush.
Never use any aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as these may damage the surface of the casing.
