If the appliance is installed directly on carpeting, vinyl tile or other combustible material other than wood flooring,
the appliance shall be installed on a metal or wood panel extending the full width and depth, unless otherwise
tested.
During rough framing, the appliance MUST be placed on a raised platform to accomodate for the thickness of the
finished floor materials (i.e. tile, carpeting, hardwood), which, if not planned for, will interfere with the installation of
the safety barrier and/or any decorative front. It is not necessary to install a hearth extension with this appliance.
