Installing the electrical kit
13. Connect the brown wires with the eyelets to the vehicle's ground point (Fig. 1/5).
14. Lay the eight-core cable set along the vehicle's cable harness / ducts to the area of the
network control unit on the left side of the vehicle's front (Fig. 1/1).
15. Open the red latch on the network control unit by shifting it, disconnect the black 12-pin
connector (position G) from the network control unit and open the latch. Unlock the following
cables and insert it into the black 3-pin socket housing provided on the cable set:
The orange/brown cable from compartment 7 into compartment 1.

The orange/green cable from compartment 8 into compartment 3.

16. Insert the individual orange/brown and orange/green cables of the cable set into the now free
compartments 7 and 8 of the 12-pin plug as indicated by the colours.
17. Close the locking mechanism and re-insert the plug into the network control unit.
18. Disconnect the black 16-pin connector (position E) from the network control unit and open
latch. Unlock the following cable and insert it into the white 3-pin socket housing provided on
the cable set:
The black/red cable from compartment 2 into compartment 2.

19. Insert the individual black/red cable of the cable set into the now free compartment 2 of the
16-pin plug and close the latch.
20. Connect the connector to the network control unit and close the red latch again.
21. Fit the now open 3-pin black and white housings together.
22. Remove the black cover from the fuse carrier (Fig. 1/2), open the lilac latch by shifting it and
insert the following lines into the fused side of the following compartments.
- > MY2008: The black/blue cable into compartment 6
- MY2009 > (and Coupé): Take the fuse-protected cable out of compartment 4 (terminal 15)
and insert it into the 1-pin housing on the cable set. Re-insert the individual black/blue
cable of the cable set into comportment 4 of the fuse carrier. Fit the now open 1-pin
housings together.
The red/black wire into compartment 29 (> MY2006), into 28 (MY2007-MY2008), into 23

(MY2009 >)
The red/blue cable into compartment 30 (> MY2006), into 38 (MY2007-MY2008), into 25
-
(MY2009 >)
23. > MY2006: If fuse positions 29 - 31 on the vehicle have not been pre-equipped with terminal
30 , the cable adapter (supplied) must be used.
Insert the 2-way contact into input side of sockets 29 - 30 of the fuse box.
Connect the contact with double lug to the free contact of the bridge fuse for fuses 32-37.
24. MY2007 – MY2008: If the fuse positions 28 + 38 of the vehicle are not equipped with terminal
30, the provided wire adapter must be inserted.
Insert the cable ends as follows:
The red/black cable into the still free slot of fuse 28

The red/blue cable into the still free slot of fuse 38
-
Plug the contact with the double stop on the connecting lug of fuse bridge 32-37.
