button select the required target temp-
erature. Confirm this by pressing the SET
button once again.
Alarm function
For a precise measurement the thermo-
meter should be inserted into the centre
of the meat. Once the selected target
temperature has been reached an acoustic
signal is set off 4 times, which is repeated
4 times. If the target temperature is
exceeded the alarm is set off every 30
seconds.
Caution
The measuring range of the oven thermo-
meter goes up to 200 °C. If this tempera-
ture is exceeded the alarm is set off and
the reading HHH flashes in the display. At
temperatures over 300 °C the thermome-
ter can be damaged. Do not use the ther-
mometer during cooking in the oven or
microwave as that can cause damage.
After use clean the thermometer with a
damp cloth. Never submerge in water or
put in the dishwasher. Do not drop the
thermometer onto a hard surface.
Battery information
The thermometer is powered by two LR
44, 3 V batteries. The batteries supplied
cannot be recharged. Batteries must never
be damaged, drilled open or thrown into
an open fire. Replace the batteries only
with those of the type stipulated in these
instructions.
