3 Setting into Operation

3.1 Power supply

To insert the batteries, slide open the battery compart-
ment cover on the rear side of the microphone in the di-
rection of arrow. Insert two 1.5 V batteries of size AA into
the compartment (3). Observe the correct polarity (see
figure).

3.2 Setting the transmission channel

To set the transmitter to the same transmission frequency
as the receiver used:
1) Switch on the microphone with the button
(2).
2) Aim the infrared sensor (4) [with the battery compart-
ment cover removed] at the IR diode of the wireless re-
ceiver. The distance should not exceed 1.5 m. Make
sure that there are no obstacles between the sensor
and the transmitting diode.
3) Switch on the wireless receiver.
4) Press the button ACT on the wireless receiver (if nec-
essary, see the instruction manual of the wireless re-
ceiver).
Between step 1 and 4 there must not be more than approx.
30 seconds; after that the microphone will no longer be
ready to receive the infrared signal (to save the batteries).
When receiving the IR signal, the symbol "ACT" (B)
starts flashing on the display (1) of the microphone. Then
the channel selected (E) and the corresponding fre-
quency (D) should be indicated. If the microphone has not
accepted the frequency, switch it off (keep the button
pressed until the display shows "OFF") and switch it on
again (press the button briefly). Then repeat the infrared
transmission.
4 Operation
1) Switch on the receiver.
2) Switch on the microphone with the button
