Sequence of assembly
The model should be assembled as shown in
the individual drawings. The texts only refer to
points which are of particular importance.
The Depron® components should be glued
using Foam-Speed (styrofoam cyano) or epoxy
exclusively. Use Foam-Speed sparingly, other-
wise excess glue may run onto the paint and
dissolve it.
Use Tesafilm (clear adhesive tape) to attach the
control surfaces and for various reinforcements.
Use a very sharp modelling knife, as this will
ensure clean, smooth cuts.

For this model you will need a radio control sys-
tem with at least four channels and three servos,
plus an electronic speed controller.
For flying in a confined space the control surface
travels should be as large as possible. We recom-
mend adding 35 - 40% Expo.
Power system
The Pitts can be fitted with a brushless (outrun-
ner) motor for direct drive, or alternatively a gea-
red brushed or brushless (internal rotor) motor.
The kit is supplied complete with a set of motor
bulkheads as required.
It is important to select the motor and a suitable
speed controller before you start construction. Fit
matching connectors to the speed controller and
flight battery.
If you intend to install a brushless motor, trial-fit
the motor and check that the mounting holes line
up correctly. Adjust them if necessary.
