5. Reference filter for photometer *
1.
The reference filter is specific of the photometer with the serial number given above. The
reference filter must not be utilized for checking other photometers.
2.
The reference filter is used for checking the reproducibility of measured results.

The cell with the reference filter must be clean outside and free of finger marks, especially at
the level at which the filter is fitted. The stopper is intended to be fixed permanently in the
cell and on no account should it be removed.

If the measured value is found to be outside the indicated minimum or maximum values,
the cell compartment of the photometer should be thoroughly cleaned with the clean-up
set, especially the windows covering the light source and detector. The outside of the cell
should also be cleanded and dried. The instrument is zeroed and the measurement is then
repeated. If the measured value is still outside the indicated range, it is recommended to
have the photometer checked by the service.

Instructions
1.
Switch on the photometer by pressing the ON/OFF key.
2.
Select the relevant chlorine parameter by pressing the "Cl" key.
3.
The instrument is zeroed by pressing the ZERO key with the cell compartment empty and
the photometer lid closed.
4.
Place the cell (do not fill with water!) with the reference filter in the cell compartment with
the graduation towards the observer (the filter is located on the left-hand side of the trough)
and close the photometer lid.
5.
Press the TEST key. The measured result appears in the display.
