The protection guard has a safety switch to prevent the cut-off wheel
from starting while the guard is open. Furthermore, a locking
mechanism prevents the operator from opening the protection guard
until the cut-off wheel stops spinning.
Answer
Reduce the feed speed
Change the cut-off wheel, as the
hardness of the present cut-off wheel
may be inappropriate for the hardness of
the workpiece*
Use a softer cut-off wheel*
Clamp the workpiece securely with the
quick-clamping devices.
Reduce the feed speed or use a harder
cut-off wheel*
Place the workpiece in a position which
allows the cut-off wheel to cut the
smallest possible cross-section. Increase
the feed speed.
