5. Cleaning, looking after and maintaining the appliance

Your new low pressure pot is extremely easy
to maintain. You should always thoroughly
clean it in the following ways in order to
enjoy it for a long time.

5.1 Cleaning the low pressure pot

• Never use harsh or abrasive cleaning
detergents as this could damage the
high gloss surface of your low pressure
pot.
• You should clean the low pressure pot as
soon after use as possible so that no left-
overs dry on.
Clean the parts after every use:
1. Wash the parts with hot water and
washing up liquid.
2. Rinse them with clean water.
3. Dry the parts with a tea towel in order to
prevent water marks.
4. Should the steam-valve 1 become
particularly dirty, it can be unscrewed
with a suitable spanner, cleaned, and
then screwed back on.

Notes:
• The lower part of the pan, lid, tripod and
steamer insert can also be washed in the
dishwasher.
• The seal must not go in the dishwasher
as it could harden prematurely.
• If leftovers have stuck on, soften the parts
with soapy water before cleaning and
leave them to soak.
• If necessary, you can remove leftovers
that have stuck on with a wooden spa-
tula and a little oven cleaner.
• If the low pressure pot is used regularly,
the seal (Art.-Nr. 811002) should be
replaced with a new one once a year. A
new seal can be obtained from the
customer service address.

5.2 Storing your low pressure pot

• The low pressure pot must not be stored
closed. Condensation could form and
lead to the build-up of odours or
damage if it is not ventilated.
• The seal must not be compressed or put
out of shape when stored. The seal
should therefore be put back in the lid
for storage.
• Should the handle screws become loose,
screw them in tightly with a suitable
screwdriver, so that the pot is ready to
be used again.
