6.4 Setting up the DAV

1 Briefly trigger the current-less wire feeder.
2 Move the torch with the free wire end and the dimension X to the cutting
area of the wire cutter (2).
The wire must lie against the fixed jaw and the gas nozzle (1) must be directly
above the cutter.
Programme the way points and commands as described in the flow chart.

3 Set the Cut robot signal.
4 After a brief wait, reset the switching state.
5 Move the torch upwards out of the wire cutter (2) DAV.
NOTE
• Worn-out cutting edges may cause malfunctions. A cost- and time-saving
remedy is to correct the start-up position by a few millimetres. Only when
the entire cutting width of the cutter has been worn out, will a
replacement be required.
