2.3 Personal protective equipment (PPE)
• The device described in these instructions may be used only for the
purpose and in the manner described in these instructions. In doing so,
observe the operating, maintenance and servicing conditions.
• Any other use is considered contrary to the designated use.
• Unauthorised conversions or modifications to enhance performance are
not allowed.
• Keep the operating instructions within easy reach of the device for
reference and enclose them when passing on the product.
• Commissioning, operating and maintenance work may only be carried out
by qualified personnel. Qualified personnel are persons who, based on
their special training, knowledge, experience, are able to assess the tasks
assigned to them and identify possible dangers
(in Germany see TRBS 1203).
• Keep other persons out of the work area.
• Please observe the accident prevention regulations of the country in
question.
• Ensure the work area is well lit and keep it clean.
• The partly completed machine may not be put into operation until it has
been established that the machine it is to be built into complies with the
provisions of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, if this Directive
applies to the machine. If required, the operator must also ensure that the
machine complies with the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU.
• Occupational health and safety regulations of the country in question. For
example, in Germany: Arbeitsschutzgesetz (Occupational Health and
Safety Act) and Betriebssicherheitsverordnung (Ordinance on Industrial
Safety and Health).
• Regulations on occupational safety and accident prevention
To avoid danger to the user, these instructions recommend the use of personal
protective equipment (PPE).
• This consists of protective clothing, safety goggles, a class P3 respiratory
mask, protective gloves and safety shoes.
