8.2.
Erecting the workbench
Make sure that the erection location is suitable for the workbench.
The fl oor must be able to bear safely the weight of the workbench
including the permissible load on the workbench.
At least 2 persons must be employed to transport the workbench to the
erection location. Where necessary, use suitable lifting gear.
Erect the workbench on a level and stable fl oor.
Use a spirit level to check if the workbench is horizontal.
For workstations with height-adjustable supports: Adjust the
height-adjustment screws and secure them with locknuts.
WARNING!
Risk of injury due to the workbench tipping over.
Risk of tipping over, when workbench weighs < 150 kg and the loading per
drawer is > 35 kg.
Anchor the workbench to the fl oor.
8.3.
The tool cabinet/workbench can be anchored to the concrete fl oor
(BN25) (optional)
Depending on the confi guration, the tool cabinet or the workbench can be
anchored to the fl oor.
Anchoring to the fl oor ensures that the tool cabinet or the workbench is
secure and stable.
For other types of fl oors, seek professional advice.
CAUTION!
Damage to pipes and cables buried in the fl oor.
Before drilling into the fl oor, make sure there are no pipes and cables
buried in the fl oor near where the anchor holes are planned.
